By the time the children are 9+, they are ready to get hands on with tools and fire lighting, to add an extra level of excitement to their adventure… our offering at this age is for children to attend by themselves (a maximum of 6 adults are permitted to stay to join the experience and help with food etc.) Our adventure sessions are for a maximum of 20 children.
Our Woodcraft Adventure sessions are facilitated by our Patch Team, offering a playful guided experience. Bringing together the perfect balance of structure and playful invitations, and the freedom to play and explore with their friends. On arrival the Patch Team will welcome the children and start them on their Patch adventure.
Our suggested timetable (based on the 10.30 session, the timings would be the same for the 2.00 session) is:
10.30: Facilitated activities (listed above) fully facilitated by our Patch Team
12.00: Food (bring your own food with you)
12.30: Fire lighting, marshmallows & smores
1.00: Finish
In addition, you will be provided with:
The site has a compost toilet, hand-washing facilities, and a first aid station (and a qualified first aider on site).
The Patch is a natural site, and we do continue in all weathers (except very high wind), so we suggest that you check the weather forecast and come appropriately dressed. Many of our activities are under shelter, and we are used to adapting our offering to compliment the weather.
We look forward to your visit to The Patch, where a warm welcome awaits…
Once we have received your request you will be invoiced for a holding deposit of £50, and a member of our team will be in touch to confirm the details of your hire
